  • CASETA

    The mission of the Center for the Advancement and Study of Early Texas Art is to promote the preservation, study and appreciation of Texas visual arts and its history. The CASETA website includes a significant number of resources, including links to books and papers on the History of Texas Art, to museums with Texas art collections, archives and libraries, exhibition catalogs, videos from past CASETA speakers, and other resources.

  • Dallas Museum of Art Collection

    The Dallas Museum of Art website now has access to most of the collection which is searchable by artist or title. A web page has been set up with links to the search feature, along with a listing of past exhibitions of Texas artists going back to 1909.

    Operated by the University of North Texas' UNT Library, The Portal To Texas History is a gateway to Texas history materials. You may discover anything from an ancestor's picture to a rare historical map. From prehistory to the present day, you can explore unique collections from Texas libraries, museums, archives, historical societies, genealogical societies, and private family collections.

    There are a growing number of digital collections at Southern Methodist University's SMU Libraries. These files contain digitized works of art, paintings, works on paper, photographs and images that document the unique art and history of Texas.
